The beauty and hospitality of our territory can be enjoyed all year round, whether it’s diving into the blue sea from the freely accessed rocky ravines, or enjoying the convenience of private beaches. From cities full of art and tradition, to the thousands of festivals and celebrations spread throughout the year. From the charming hills harmoniously inhabited for centuries (Itria Valley) to the open spaces of still uncontaminated nature. All you have to do is pick out the colorful holiday of your choice.
This is perhaps the most symbolic and well-known of Puglia’s characteristic towns, thanks to its beautiful historic center full of “trulli”, the traditional houses with conical limestone roofs. This is a UNESCO heritage site that you simply must visit before leaving Puglia.
The capital and largest city in Puglia, Bari serves as the headquarters for all government offices in the region. Its vibrant promenade is the heart of the city, dotted with countless valuable palaces that are well worth a visit all on their own. However, there are plenty of other reasons to add Bari to your itinerary, just one of which is the local culinary heritage.
This cozy town is home to caves with the same name, classified among the most beautiful and fascinating caves in the world, stretching more than 3.5 kilometers and with a depth of over 120 meters. The otherworldly scenery and the organization of tours to explore their depths makes this a truly unmissable experience
The hilly area behind the sea (Murge dei Trulli and Itria Valley) is a spectacle to admire for its alternating patches of inhabited territories and natural landscapes, where humans have managed to harmonize with mother nature. This is where you can find the origin of typical artisan products to suit every palate, from dairy products to salami, sweet and savoury preserves, as well as traditional desserts. There are, of course, plenty of opportunities to taste historical dishes typical of the cultural cuisine found in the countryside.
Elegant and refined, Conversano has a very old historic center starring a magnificent castle from the Norman era that also houses the municipal art gallery.
This charming and vibrant town overlooking the Itria Valley owes its name to its unusual urban layout, causing it to be known as the “round place”, or “luogo rotondo” in Italian. However, what makes it a truly special tourist destination is the presence of picturesque houses with their sloping roofs made of small limestone slabs called “cummerse”.
Its dominant position on the Itria Valley amplifies its charm. This town, with its important historic center, is a true jewel of Baroque fashion, rich in art, traditions, and vitality. As expected, the food and wine is of excellent quality.
This wonderful town is the closest to our residence, with a historic center full of intricate streets, ancient buildings, and a castle overlooking the sea. The painstaking restoration work of the historic buildings is awe inspiring and has transformed Monopoli into a true pearl of the area. There are countless possibilities for a holiday to suit a variety of interests. The traditional local cuisine, closely linked to the sea, is just waiting to be discovered.
Located inland with a panoramic position along the sea, this town is famous all over the world. It is known as the “white city” because all the houses are covered with milk of lime, and it has now become one of the most popular tourist destinations in Puglia. Getting lost amidst its narrow winding streets is an unforgettable experience.
This town’s most characteristic feature is that it was built on rocks overlooking the sea, which make it a particularly impressive site for all the tourists who visit it. This is also the birthplace of a legendary Italian musician, Domenico Modugno, to whom a special monument is dedicated. In addition to the joy and exhilaration of wandering through its narrow streets, this town provides varied entertainment throughout the year with countless events. The culinary attractions are also noteworthy, but the most unforgettable experience is surely diving from its cliffs into the blue sea!
Another beautiful town with a very interesting historic center, Putignano hosts one of the most famous Carnival celebrations in the world. The parade of floats is a very serious event and keeps the city busy for a large part of the year (not just during the traditional Carnival period).
Known as the City of Stones, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is made of ancient houses carved into the rocky landscape. It is a vibrant city full of cultural events.
You can easily reach plenty of other towns from our residence, all rich in traditions, culture, and tourist attractions of every kind. Though we only have room to list their names here, they are still certainly worth a visit and all happily welcome visitors: Conversano (Aragonese Castle), Fasano (Safari Zoo), Cisternino (traditional meat restaurants), Noci (traditional food and wine), and all the agricultural districts of Monopoli are waiting for you!
